Active Families, Active Stories
My name is Ricardo and I’m the person responsible for the activities. Let me share with you some experiences that I had with our Families Holiday. Most of them came to Alentejo for the first time and they don’t know much about the region. On the first contact we try to share a little from our living experience.
Kids want fun from the first moment. But to be honest in the beginning everyone is very shy… but don’t take long, after the first day of activities, everyone start to know each other and we became a real family during the week.
Let me share some good memories: a family that was here to relax and know some unspoiled places, but the “father and the two suns” became members of the Portugal Active crew, always helping us, preparing the equipments, putting the tables for lunch, helping with the ropes. So we (monitors) said: “thank you for your help but you are here to enjoy and relax”. No way… the father answered immediately: “we want to feel the adventure, like you do, we wish to participate in this kind of small things because we feel wonderfully and it gives pleasure to my kids”. This kind of attitude is one of the values that I appreciate most. This “father” did the enforcements to keep his family united, doing something different, challenging and that’s fantastic.
This feeling is one of the many things that I desire to share, cause the more important conclusion is that we create new friends and with them and with our family we CREATE and SHARE great moments and simple stories that will turn to be amazing memories.
