April and May are wonderful months to travel around. Springtime brings a new life and colors. The temperature is warm and the countryside full of flowers and birds just like in a wildlife movie. This year we’ve the visit of 3 Swiss groups for a guided walking trip. One week exploring the coastline and inland. Based at Casa da Eira they have all the comfort they need after a walk. For those who live surrounded by mountains the unexplored coastline is something unique… and it is. For us it’s a pleasure to see how they interact and how pleased they can be. After all despite the distances from the mountains to the see is just a small step but a real new experience.

It looks great doesn’t it? Either you want to start a walking or a cycling trip or just stay in our accommodation at the Alentejo coastline we’ve prepared this fantastic dinning room for all our customers. It’s brand new. Next year will arrive the swimming pool and a new garden. This is how we wish to grow: small and personal with a human touch and this is how we get more and more smiles, a guestbook full of kind and gentle notes. It’s a team work and we’re pleased to share it. Proud to be in one of the most preserved and unexplored areas in Europe we send you this invitation: came to meet the real Portugal.

We had already beautiful rooms, filled with color, very comfortable, some overlooking the sea and river, a garden to sunbathe and do a barbecue, and Sonya with his sympathy and care … but for us this is not enough. Those who visit us for a biking or walking program deserve more and better services. Therefore we have taken the winter and put to work. It feels great that you can bring down the first wall and designing new spaces. We will have an area for breakfasts and snacks … then will come the pool … and then will reach our customers… you!

Yes… this is the VIEW from our home sweet home, the place where we give a big and warm welcome to our guests. Few people heard about Alentejo and few visited this unique coastline… and you? We never get tired to look to this lansdcape! Next Spring we will offer a new swimming pool and a leisure area… and Casa da Eira will become more and more THE PLACE!

It’s a fact that many of our guests arrive from UK… they’re adventurous and most of all they appreciate nature, sun and the relaxed pace of life they found, far away from the busy and touristic Algarve. Our tiny village offers all this and more… here each day is peaceful and our imaginative minds work hard to create a better atmosphere. In the garden of our guest house we’ve created a fantastic spot to wonderful barbecues. With 300 sunny days around the year it’s not difficult to stay outside and experienced a delicious meal. But there are more: next summer Casa da Eira will offer a swimming pool and a leisure area where people will be able to relax with a fresh beer. Families, walkers, cyclists… everybody is invited to share the soul of Alentejo.
