Lynx is an endangered species that still live in the Algarve Mountains. Low numbers remain which are closely monitored, but are extremely difficult to observe. Loss of habitat and population pressure makes difficult the survival of this big cat. Hunters, they feed mainly on rabbits but will also eat rodents, small deer and birds on the ground.
